I have no trouble leaving a poor reviews when warranted. I can only tell you that I am NOT the kind of person who "guilds the lily" in my reviews. I'm usually very wary of reviews like this that are full of superlatives. I can see where this place would garner long-time, repeat customers. As we were finishing our meal, another party arrived and they were obviously regulars as everyone greeted each other like old friends. Our waiter was attentive without making us feel rushed. We would have loved to try their dessert selection but honestly could not fit another bite! Overall, the meal was leisurely. Both dishes were cooked to perfection, superbly presented, hot and delicious. My friend got the salmon special and I got the stuffed shrimp. Then a delicious salad with unique and flavorful dressings. We started our dinner with a cup of the lobster bisque - sweet and loaded with lobster. After taking our drink order, he brought a fresh veggie platter and warm bread along with a sweet bread (date nut maybe?) that was heavenly. Our waiter, John, was terrific! Very personable, conversational and made us feel well taken care of from the moment he approached the table. From checking their website, i learned a bit about the history of the building and knew that they meal would be a bit pricey but from the recommendations of friends I knew it would be well worth it. My first impression was very positive the grounds and gardens are immaculately kept and beautifully planted. My friend and i met there for an early dinner since it is mid-way between our hometowns. I've heard about the Inn Between for a few years now and finally had the opportunity to try it this afternoon.
